Following on from the previous announcement, here is some further information on the iPhone pricing and plans on the Telstra Network.

From the 11th July, you will be able to purchase an Apple iPhone 3G from Telstra dealers.

$30 plan – 8GB – $279
$30 plan – 16Gb – $399

$80 plan – 8GB – $0
$100 plan – 16GB – $0

No mention of data plans as yet but probably the same as existing plans. Wi-Fi access  at Telstra Hotspots (Mcdonalds, selected hotels, and payphones in hi density areas) will be free.

Looks like stock will be an issue.

Confirmation also on the NextG compatibility. The phone will be fully compatible with Telstra’s huge NetxG network which will reaches 99.9% of the population.
